Over the first week in July we took the girls to the beach. This will be our last African vacation and our last vacation just us 4! We went down to Pennington Beach which is about 40mins south of Durban in South Africa on the warm Indian Ocean. We went with another Black and Veatch Family, The Zimmerman's.
We rented a little 2 bedroom unit at Pennington Waves. They looked like little apartments. The price was hard to beat and the service was excellent!

Here is our room. We literally just got in and threw all our junk down, excuse the mess. Then Pat laid down to do his physical therapy knee exercises. Notice the green band on his ankles.

Miranda and Isabel both wipe out! Good thing Rusty is right there to grab any kids that try to float away. Isabel was surprisingly very adventurous and not scared at all on this trip.

Erika got these great pictures of Miranda and Lillie. The girls were playing in a kid safe swimming puddle pool (that's what they called it anyway) on the beach. It's a little built in wall on the beach, so the water can get in, but kids can't float out I guess...and good thing, b/c check this out....Oh and the guys were watching them at this time. I was down the beach with Isabel and Erika (Miranda's mom) just happened to catch this all on her camera!
