The Extreme 19th Hole

Two weekends ago we all went up to the Limpopo Province of South Africa. We visited The Entabeni Safari Lodges in the Waterburg region. On Friday Pat went with 7 of his work friends to The Legends Golf and Safari Resort to play their signature 18 hole course and of course the EXTREME 19th HOLE. Here is a link for more info on the course they played and the 19th hole: http://www.legendgolfsafari.com/extreme-19th
"Few holes in the history of golf have generated as much interest as the The Extreme 19th. Newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations across the globe have run features on this most amazing golf hole."
"Accessible only by helicopter, with the tee set 400m up on the majestic Hanglip Mountain and played to a green the shape of Africa some 400m below, the Extreme 19th has captured the imagination like no other hole."
The guys said it was a crazy fun helicopter ride up!

Can you see the green from here?

"Golfing superstars as well as celebrities from across the world’s of sport and entertainment have been equally as impressed with this most unique hole.

In a shoot-out with French star Raphael Jacquelin, 2008 Open Champion Padraig Harrington famously became the first person to make a Par 3 – but since then he has been joined by many others – just normal golfers enjoying the golfing experience of a lifetime."

Pat and all his work friends who paid to play the extreme 19th. The more people you have the cheaper the hole gets. They paid $250 each for this amazing experience...and that's with 8 people playing, but Pat said it was well worth it.

Pat said they gave you 6 balls to try and make at least one in play. Some people got a ball in play and some didn't. Of course my"wanna be- pro golfer" husband got one in play. haha Good job Pat.

Pat ended up getting a bogey on the hole....not bad.

After the 19th hole, they played the other 18 on their signature course. See the link above for more info on the course that was designed by eighteen of the world’s top golfers.

HAHA I think this photo looks like it went through photoshop, but it didn't.
